Core Technologies and Characteristics of Aerospace Bearings

Materials Revolution:

All-Steel: Utilizes high-temperature bearing steels such as M50 and M50NiL, possessing high hardness, high-temperature red hardness, and toughness.

Hybrid Ceramic: Silicon nitride balls with steel raceways. Ceramic balls have low density (60% weight reduction), high hardness, low coefficient of thermal expansion, high temperature resistance, and insulation, making them the mainstream choice for high-speed spindle bearings.

Special Alloys and Coatings: Employs titanium alloys and special stainless steels, and applies DLC (diamond-like carbon) coatings to reduce friction and improve wear resistance.

Lubrication Technology:

High-Speed High-Temperature Lubricating Oils/Greases: Synthetic hydrocarbons, ester oils, etc., maintain an oil film under wide temperature ranges and high pressures.

Solid Lubrication: Coatings such as molybdenum disulfide, graphite, and PTFE, used in vacuum, high and low temperature applications, or applications where grease cannot be used (such as aerospace).

Underring Lubrication/Jet Lubrication: Directly sprays lubricating oil into the bearing interior for efficient cooling and lubrication.

Ultimate Design and Manufacturing:

Ultra-precision machining: Dimensional and geometric tolerances are achieved at the sub-micron level, ensuring extremely high rolling element sorting accuracy and smooth, low-vibration operation.

Special clearance and preload design: Precisely calculated based on operating conditions to ensure optimal performance even under extreme temperature variations.

Special cage: Made from high-temperature polymers (such as polyimide), bronze, or special steel, with optimized guidance and lubrication.

Condition monitoring and health management:

Advanced engines and critical systems are equipped with vibration, temperature, and wear debris monitoring sensors to monitor bearing condition in real time, enabling predictive maintenance and ensuring flight safety.
